Stephen Ameyaw

Chief Executive Officer

Stephen Ameyaw is a Ghanaian technology entrepreneur, business executive, and digital transformation strategist, and the Founder and Managing Director of ShrinQ Limited, a technology company building innovative software, fintech, and artificial intelligence solutions for businesses across Africa. With extensive experience spanning banking, telecommunications, and insurance, Stephen combines deep technical expertise with an entrepreneurial vision to build technology-driven businesses that solve complex operational challenges, improve customer experiences, and unlock new opportunities for growth.

Through ShrinQ, Stephen is focused on developing scalable, locally relevant technology products that enable organisations to modernise their operations, strengthen digital capabilities, and compete in an increasingly technology-driven economy. His entrepreneurial approach centres on transforming industry-specific challenges into practical software solutions, with a particular focus on financial services, enterprise automation, digital payments, and artificial intelligence.

Under his leadership, ShrinQ has evolved from a technology solutions provider into a product-focused technology company with a growing portfolio of proprietary platforms. Its flagship solutions include Genova Insurance Suite, a comprehensive insurance management platform designed to digitise and streamline insurance operations; STAK ERP, an integrated enterprise resource planning solution for managing core business processes; Zapper, a social-first digital wallet designed to simplify digital payments and money transfers; ShrinQ Avatar, a digital human solution that enables businesses to deliver more interactive and personalised digital experiences; and JamboGPT, an AI-powered conversational platform designed to automate customer service and business operations.

A key pillar of Stephen’s vision is the application of artificial intelligence to enterprise operations. Through ShrinQ’s agentic AI and digital human initiatives, he is championing a new generation of intelligent business solutions that go beyond conventional automation and chatbots to support customer engagement, service delivery, and operational decision-making. His ambition is to help African businesses harness emerging technologies to increase productivity, improve service delivery, and build more efficient and competitive organisations.

ShrinQ’s insurance technology business reflects Stephen’s commitment to building solutions that address real industry needs. Genova Insurance Suite has been implemented as the core insurance management platform for Loyalty Insurance and is being deployed at Vanguard Assurance to support its business operations. These engagements demonstrate ShrinQ’s focus on developing enterprise-grade technology that can support the operational requirements of established financial services institutions. Notably, organisations Stephen previously served, including UT Bank, Telecel Ghana, Coronation Insurance, and MiLife Insurance, have also become clients of ShrinQ, reflecting the value of long-term industry relationships and his continued commitment to delivering technology solutions.

Before transitioning fully into entrepreneurship, Stephen built a career leading and delivering enterprise technology initiatives across banking, telecommunications, and insurance. At UT Bank, he contributed to core banking technology initiatives, including the migration to the Temenos T24 platform, and developed a credit workflow system supporting the bank’s lending operations. At Telecel Ghana, he worked on major enterprise applications, including field force automation, billing, and customer relationship management systems. In the insurance sector, he held senior technology leadership positions at Coronation Insurance and MiLife Insurance, overseeing core insurance systems, digital platforms, enterprise applications, infrastructure, and business process automation.

These experiences gave Stephen a practical understanding of how technology, business processes, and customer needs intersect—and helped shape his decision to establish ShrinQ as a company that builds and owns solutions rather than simply implementing technology for others. His professional philosophy is grounded in innovation, execution, and the belief that African technology companies can develop competitive products for both domestic and international markets.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Management from Wisconsin University College, Accra, and a Master of Science in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University. His academic background, combined with years of hands-on experience in enterprise technology and business leadership, informs his approach to product development, strategic partnerships, and business growth.

As Founder and Managing Director of ShrinQ Limited, Stephen continues to pursue a broader vision of building an African technology enterprise with the capacity to serve multiple industries and expand into international markets. His work reflects a commitment to entrepreneurship, indigenous innovation, and the strategic use of technology to create sustainable business value and contribute to Africa’s digital transformation.

Stephen is married to Brenda Ameyaw, and they have three children.
